The saying, “Go with the flow!” is popular and has been used everywhere for a long time. Who knew that it could be something biblical and spiritually correct. In this case, we would be going with God’s flow and plan for your lives. To flow with God means to operate by God’s direction and plan alone and to not be swayed or distracted by what the world may throw at you. However, this takes a lot of trust to take your hands off the wheel of your life and allow God to drive. But, it is a decision every Christian has to make at some point or another in their lives.

When you are flowing with God, you are moving where He moves and doing as He says when He says it. It means to stay ready for anything and everything that God may ask you to do and this too involves trust. It could feel natural to ask, “Why is God having me do this?” “What is the purpose of me doing this?” But, when you realize that everything that God does is for your benefit, flowing with God becomes easier and easier. You may be thinking, “Well, I don’t have time to just flow, I’ve got responsibilities on top of responsibilities to take care of in my own life!” God recognizes this and does not see it as inferior. In actuality, God will reward you for putting your trust in him by removing any obstacles you may have in your life. Because you are obeying Him, He is taking care of you!

Proverbs 3:5-7 (AMP) says, “Trust in and rely confidently on the Lord with all your heart and do not rely on your own insight or understanding. In all your ways know and acknowledge and recognize Him, and He will make your paths straight and smooth [removing obstacles that block your way].

This is the promise you can rely on that everything concerning you is being taken care of while you’re flowing with God, putting trust in Him, and relying on His insight and understanding!
